„Die sechs Giftbäume im deutschen Felde“ Bertelsmann Gütersloh 1881

(manifesto of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP))
(cf: Adolf Hitler’s speech in 1933 regarding the opponents of the National Socialists; list/text was quoted by Hitler in his speech)
The first National Socialist manifesto as a basis for popular racism; all postulations are later put into practice by the NSDAP, individual passages are used by Hitler in his speeches. The six poisonwood trees in German fields are accordingly: the Jews, the Communists and the Social Democrats, bogus culture, decadent art, bogus morality, the wrong type of education and the wrong type of religion.
‘It is the spirit of modern Judaism which has poisoned the soul of our people. But you cannot combat it like many modern
Anti-Semites try to do and form a league against them: only the stronger can overcome the strong and destroy them.’
‘If here and now (at last) a Bismarck would come and intervene with word and deed and wage war on trashy literature; …never mind how iconic it may seem’. (p. 33!)
On Judaism: ‘…and what is the Jewish spirit? It is the spirit of greed, of imperiousness, of acquisitiveness and the spirit of the haggler; …for the goal never given up by this spirit is: global dominance – through mammonism. Of the other Jewish characteristics: vain foppishness, uncleanliness, nosiness and dishonesty we don’t even want to talk. This tribe took …from our people its national personal inheritance …it has completely ruined the ordinary man in the street in various parts of Silesia, Poland and East Prussia, and following that destroyed happy family lives even to the point of prostitution, …for the Jew is merciless: Cutting off ears and cutting throats does not bother him as long as he can settle his business; …allow me to say: the Jew takes the best of our people, whether trading valuables or words, the press has yet another purpose: to undermine and destroy our noble national character to achieve its final goal: world domination.’
(cf: Adolf Hitler’s speech of 13th August 1920, ‘Why are we Anti-Semites’; here: ‘Anti-Semites in all countries unite’)
